Many swimmers use short fins when swimming crawl stroke. Doing so, increases the aerobic level in their exercise routine.

Many competitive swimmers also use fins as, when used properly, increase leg strength for kicking.

  2. its too get the arm movments roght and when you do fins it takes a lot of pressure off your upper body.

  3. 1. It lets you work your legs harder.
    2. It lets you focus on other elements of the stroke.
    3. When doing something like butterfly, you get to have a feel for what the stroke should feel like.

it helps work out the muscles in your leg more

it teaches proper leg positioning when you’re doing your strokes

it’s also quite comfortable for me anyways.
