what kind of frogs are found in swimming pools?
chubbyman7 asked:
i have found two frogs of the same type in my swimming pool. was wondering what type of frogs are in swimming pools. the frogs are pretty small and seem to have some spots to them, though not sure. if anyone would know please help
and are southern leopard frogs toxic or poisonous?
yes i know its not a natural habitat for frogs was just curious to see what type of frog had mistaken it for a pond.

i think that house frogs as in pets are most likely to be found in swimming pools i think that if someone would be weird enough to bring a frog to the pool, they would probably drop it inside then u see a frog!

Depends of where you and your pool are. Lots of different kinds of frogs could be in your pool. With spots, the most likely candidate is the Leopard frog which is also called a meadow frog or grass frog is some parts of the world. Here is a description and some pictures.

Any type really. Especially if you have trees any where near the pool, they could be simple tree frogs. Most tree frogs are brightly colored. If you really want to know, type frogs into the yahoo search bar and click images. Maybe you will know for sure after seeing other pictures then. They don’t know its a pool. To them they have made a new home in a nice clean pond! LOL

It depends on where you live. Usually in New England there are an abundance of leopard frogs, they’re tiny, green, and have brown spots on it’s back. In dryer areas there are usually toads, which aren’t known to go in swimming pools. It depends on what they look like also. Try googling “breeds of frogs”.

There is no particular species of frog noted to frequent swimming pools. They are getting in there accidentally.
You do know that swimming pools are not a natural habitat for anything, don’t you?
