I’m unusually afraid of swimming pools, but not lakes, rivers, oceans, etc. It’s not so much that I scream or refuse to get in, it’s that I’m extremely uncomfortable, I cling on to the edge and I absolutely have to stand on my toes, even in the shallow end. I’m not worried about it, I’d just like the official phobia name so I sound a bit smarter when I tell people about it.
