how can i go swimming in pools/the ocean with a new bellybutton piercing?

swimming pools
emmy.jean asked:

I just got my bellybutton pierced 3 days ago, and I’m starting to think it was the most stupid time of the year I could’ve done it. I’ve been informed that I can’t go in any swimming pools or the ocean due to risk of the wound getting infected. I’m really upset because it’s only the middle of my summer and I have a beach vacation planned for about two weeks from now! This really *****. I love my bellybutton ring but I love the water too. Does anybody know of anything i can do?

  1. ocean water is ok coz of salt but pool coz of chlorine it might affect

  2. i guess u can go just clean it often

  3. Yes, Stay out of the water or face horrendous pain and a nasty infection. If only all trendyness came at this cost.

just make sure you clean really well when getting out of the water
you could try a snug clear bandage as well

go to the beach cause the salt in the water will help it heal. make sure to clean it properly after. im sure it will look hot when its healed

  7. clear waterproof bandage it may look goofey but it will keep it from getting infected.just ask the person who did it.Chlorine will infect it.

NO DO NOT GET IN THE WATER!!! it will become infected. youve got to wait until it heals which could take 3 months to a year. thats why I got mine done in the winter so it will be healed by summer. Sorry but their is nothing you can do about this problem
