Does chlorine from swimming pools have any effect on skin, like making it red for a long time?
Quick Carl asked:
My daughter has red cheeks, nose, and chin sometimes, not from the sun. It lasts for a few hours – I think. She is fair skinned. Could it be caused by the chlorine in swimming pools? She swims year round.

Could be an allergic reaction. Check with a local pool supply store and see if there is an alternative to chlorine.

It happens when you have sensitive skin. i started to get red from pool when I was a child and now i can’t even go into a chlorinated pool unless i want to wear a rash for a few days. She may be lucky and grow out of it.
